Baroque Dance - Bringing a dance notation to life with Edith Lalonger

The featured dance will be The Princess Anna (saraband and boree) 1716 by L’Abbé, notated by Pemberton. This will be the basis for exploring musicality and expression within the style and discussion of the differences between L’Abbé and Feuillet and Pecour.

The workshop is aimed at varied levels of experience in the technique. Edith works sympathetically with all dancers, and will adjust and vary the material to suit participants. In support of this approach, music will be provided by Mollie Koenisberger on violin.

Students will benefit from attending both days, but participation on one day only is possible. Places are limited so book early to guarantee your place.
