Renaissance Dance Workshop

We offer courses of the Italian Renaissance dance at two levels, beginner/intermediate and intermediate levels.
Priority is given in the beginner/intermediate level to those who want to discover and practice the steps and style of renaissance dance. The level will be adapted to the registered participants.
Some knowledge of basic steps is recommended for access to the intermediate level.
Thus participants have the choice of 2 sets of classes which can be taken individually or in combination.

Beginner/intermediate level :
Study of the 15th century court dance, including the Bassedanze and Balli from the books of Domenico da Piacenza, Guglielmo Ebreo... Attention given to the relation to the dances of the 16th century.

Intermediate level :
Technical and stylistic instruction of 16th century court dance
Workshop choreography : Variations taken from

Housing

In light of the high season in Ferrara, it is wise to reserve as early as possible your housing. We offer housing in a Bed&Breakfast.
Non-participants accompanying participants can be included when reserved at the same time, subject to availability.
The plan is two or three nights from Saturday 30th to Monday 1st or Tuesday 2nd june 2009, in double or triple room, approximately 20€ per night and per person on an as-available basis. More expensive rates may be proposed in hotels, when the Bed&Breakfast housing will be full. Please kindly specify very clearly your choices on the registration form (arrival, departure, maximum price, accompanying person,…).
