In 2001 my wife and me visited the Carnevale di Venezia. Armed with costumes and cameras we plunged into the whirl of people.
For two day we walked around taking photos and filming with the cam. Although there are no dances shown in the film, i decided to publish it as it is at least closely related to 18th century matters.
The film was mainly recorded during our promenade in Venice. I catched a couple of nice masks, but the most exciting part of the film is the parade of masks that started on the Piazza San Marco. We were very lucky and had very nice place to watch and film.
For some year now, i had the tapes in my desk and the wish to make a nice film out of it. Thanks to the new video portals such as Google Video or Youtube, it is now easy to make video material available to the public.
