Chieko Ono

Chieko ONO graduated in Japan and now lives in Assisi and Guardea. She directed many Italian 15th century dances in Italy and around Europe, USA and Japan.
She will hold the 13th edition of the Assisi Dance course in June 2010.
Since 1993, she has been conducting the "Belreguardo" Historical Dance Company; she is also the Director of the Cultural Association Il Convivio. Her teaching activity is the outcome of a thorough comparative study on ancient Italian and Japanese dance.
She co-operated to the translation of the Italian edition of the book "Japanese Dance" by T. Watanabe (Ed. Ali & No, 2001).
She co-produced the CD "Gloria et Malum" (read the article in the Italian journal "Musica", September 2008).
