New Year's Opera Ball - "from Paris to Vienna"

With the sounds of the Radetzky march and the Blue Danube still fresh in our ears, the salons of Ghent's opera are converted into a Wiener bonbonnière. In accordance with ancient traditions we are graciously led through the nicest dances. Ladies, hold on to your dance card because you get to choose a dance partner!

By Josephine Schreibers:
On the 7th of January 2012 we organise a historic ball with Lieven Baert as dancing master.

He will teach 19th century dances that connect to our new year’s concert “from Paris to Vienna”.

The ball starts at 7.30 pm and will end at 11.30 pm.

He will also teach two evenings as a preparation for the ball (an introduction to walzing and quadrilles).
On 30.12.2011 from 7 to 9 pm

On 04.01.2012 from 7 to 9 pm

This also takes place in Flanders Opera- Ghent.
