The 24th International Summer School of Early Music (ISSEM) (www.early-music.cz ) will take place in Valtice from 7th to 15th July 2012, being organized by the Early Music Society (CR), in co-operation with the Town of Valtice and the Valtice Castle (www.zamek-valtice.cz). ISSEM is the most extensive interpretation course of early music and dance with the longest tradition and a worldwide reputation, held in the CR. It is open to both professionals and amateurs. A week full of hard work with highly respected musicians and dance instructors from different countries and, at the same time, an opportunity to enjoy an active holiday-week.
In 2010, the organiser of the ISSEM the Society of Early Music (CR, became partner of the project National Centre of Theatre and Dance within the framework of the EU Integrated Operational Programme. – „Historical Sites Brought Back to Life“ (www.kulturaevropa.eu).

The Summer School includes a cycle of concerts held from 8th to 14th July 2012 every evening in the Valtice Parish Church, in the Spanish Stables of the Valtice castle, a historical dance performance will take place in the garden of the Valtice Catle or, a nocturno in the garden of the Lednice Castle.
