SATURDAY 26th APRIL 2014- LONDON
Chris & Ellis Rogers present a 19th Century inspired ball in one of the most intimate and quirky venues in London- Langdon House Theatre. This concert hall was designed, decorated and built in the ‘Arts & Crafts/Medieval taste by William Morris and Christopher Dresser and is a gem of Victorian architecture.
Live music, (period) will be provided by ‘Green Ginger’ and dances will be: quadrilles, couple dances and country dances of the period.
The ballroom has a beautiful sprung maple floor and full of the quirky excentricities that are Victorian London (the original paintings from the first production of Gilbert & Sullivan’s Ruddigore’ still hang on the walls).
Tickets- £45 including a light supper to be held in the Langdon Centre’s museum.
Changing facilities are available and on site parking is free.
Langdon House is close to Kingston-Upon-Thames, London Heathrow Airport and on the main-line train service from London Waterloo Station. Hampton Court Palace, Kew Gardens and historic town of Richmond are all within 20 mins if you wish to extend your visit.
A dance classes will be available before the event.
The dress code is Victorian/white tie/military (but any smart evening dress is very welcome)
