Christian Griesbeck

Den ersten Kontakt mit Barocktanz hatte Christian Griesbeck 1995. Seit 2005 beschäftigt er sich nun intensiv mit Historischem Tanz der verschiedenen Epochen in Theorie und Praxis. Sein Interessenschwerpunkt liegt dabei beim Tanz des späten 17ten bis 18ten Jahrhunderts und den verschiedenen Konzepten von Tanznotation. Ein weiteres Forschungsinteresse gilt dem Tanz zwischen französischer Revolution und dem Biedermeier sowie der Tanzkultur und Tanzästhetik des frühen 20sten Jahrhunderts. Daneben beschäftigt er sich mit Kostümgeschichte und fertigt eigene Kostüme auf Basis einer historisch informierten Praxis an.

Christian Griesbeck had his first contact with baroque dance in 1995. Since 2005, he is engaged extensively in historical dance of the different eras in theory and practice. His main interest lies in the dance of the late 17th to the 18th century and the various concepts of dance notation. Another research interest is dance in the romantic period and the dance culture and aesthetics of the early 20th century. He also deals with costume history and manufactures his own costumes based on a historically informed practice.
