VIII dance reconstruction conference

March, 7-9, 2014, at Vaganova academy, Zodchego Rossi, 2, Sankt-Peterburg, Russia
History & practice of social dance, its connections with scene dance is an interesting and important theme for dance researches. We'll discuss relationship between styles & dances of different countries & regions; variety of European dance cultures.
Some suggested topics:
- dance & its place in society, correlation of dance & social culture
- historical evolution & traditions of social dances
- connection between different types of social dances
- connection between scenery & social dances
- different questions of dance reconstruction
Papers & short performances on the topics is listed above are welcome.
Individual papers: limited to 20 min. with approximately 10 additional min. for discussions. Papers may also include a short dance demonstrations.
Short performances: 15-20 min. May be connected to a paper. Please submit a video with demonstration along with proposal.
Presentations may be written either in Russian, or in English.
Also discussions about dance reconstructions is planned.
Papers will be published. Full texts have to be sent to our e-mail till June, 1, 2015. Full texts should be limited to 8 paper sheets of A4. Materials of conference will be sent to participants by mail.
Abstracts should be limited to two paper sheets of A4. Deadline for proposals is December, 21, 2014.

Abstracts should be emailed to program committee at December, 21, 2014. Program committee will make its selection by December, 25, 2013.
