Liebe Tanzfreunde und Freundinnen,

Unsere gemeinsame Woche in Wien mit Juwelen der Tanzkultur des 19. Jahrhunderts findet diesmal vom 30. Juni - 6. Juli 2024 mit der vielgestaltigen Mazurka im Mittelpunkt statt. Im Sinne der zeitmodischen Tanzpraxis werden ausgewählte Touren von É. Lauchery (1824), C. W. Wiener (1829), E. F. D. Helmke (1832) und J. N. Liller (1842) zu einem, der jeweiligen Formation passenden Ablauf zusammengestellt. Polkafiguren von J. Perrot & A. Robert [1844], Cellarius (1849) und Jean Jacques (1869) ergänzen das Tanzprogramm. Wenn genügend Tänzer den Kör können, möchte ich mindestens eine Figur in Baden und im Bockkeller machen.    

Wir treffen uns am Sonntag, den 30. Juni im Restaurant NEUERWirt, Ferdinand-Kaufmann-Platz 2, 1210 Wien, wo wir direkt am Wasser sitzend uns stärken, Neuigkeiten austauschen und vor allem gemeinsam tanzen können (U6 Station „Neue Donau“ Ausgang „Strandbäder“).

Der Workshop findet Montag bis Donnerstag von 9.30 -13.00 Uhr an der Universität für Musik Wien, Anton-von-Webern Platz 1, 1030 Wien, Bauteil „Riegel“ Raum K0101. 

Den Freitag, den 5. Juli 2024, verbringen wir in Baden bei Wien inmitten der mondänen, jahrhundertealten Kurtradition. In Kostümen tanzend genießen wir ab 12.30 das Fin de Siècle Ambiente im Jugendstil Saal des Hotels Herzoghof. Anschließend erwartet uns ein Kurkonzert im angrenzenden Kurpark und ein kulinarischer Ausklang bei einem Heurigen. Gute Anbindung mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ermöglicht flexible Ab- und Anreisezeiten. 

Für den Ball treffen wir uns am Samstag, den 6. Juli 2024 ab 15.00 Uhr (Beginn 16.00 Uhr) wieder im Spiegelsaal im Bockkeller (Gallitzinstraße 1, 1160 Wien), und dem dazugehörigen schattigen Garten, der sich, wie auch unsere Tanzmusik, bereits bestens bewährt hat.

Unkostenbeitrag für Tanzen im Restaurant NEUERWirt (exklusive Konsumation), Tanzen im Herzoghof Baden (ohne Konsumation), Sommerball (inkl. Buffet und Getränke!): 359.- € – Frühbucher bis 15. Mai: 329.- € (inkl. Anmeldegebühr 60.-€).

Dear dance friends,

Our week together in Vienna with highlights of 19th century dance culture will take place this time from June 30th to July 6th, 2024 with the manyfold Mazurka as the focus. In the spirit of dance practice of that time, a sequence of selected tours from É. Lauchery (1824), C. W. Wiener (1829), E. F. D. Helmke (1832) and J. N. Liller (1842) will be arranged suiting the respective formation. Polka figures by J. Perrot & A. Robert [1844], Cellarius (1849) and Jean Jacques (1869) complete the dance program. If enough dancers can do the Kör, I would like to do at least one figure in Baden and in the Bockkeller.

We will meet on Sunday, June 30th in the NEUERWirt restaurant, Ferdinand-Kaufmann-Platz 2, 1210 Vienna, where we can sit right by the water, exchange news and, above all, dance together (U6 station “Neue Donau” exit “ Strandbäder”).

The workshop takes place Monday to Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the University of Music Vienna, Anton-von-Webern Platz 1, 1030 Vienna, “Riegel” room K0101.

We will spend Friday, July 5, 2024 in Baden near Vienna in the middle of the sophisticated, centuries-old spa tradition. Dancing in costumes, we enjoy the fin de siècle ambience in the Art Nouveau hall of the Hotel Herzoghof from 12.30. Afterwards, a spa concert awaits us in the adjacent spa park and a culinary finale at a Heuriger. Good connections with public transport enable flexible departure and arrival times.

For the ball we will meet again on Saturday, July 6th, 2024 from 3 p.m. (starts at 4 p.m.) in the Spiegelsaal in the Bockkeller (Gallitzinstraße 1, 1160 Vienna), and the associated shady garden, which, like our dance music, has already proven itself well.

Contribution to costs for dancing in the NEUERWirt restaurant (excluding consumption), dancing in the Herzoghof Baden (excluding consumption), summer ball (including buffet and drinks!): 359 .-€) - early bird until May 15th: € 329 (including registration fee € 60 .-€).
