How did they dance in 1700? The Dolmetsch Historical Dance Society offers a series of structured workshops providing a fresh perspective on the foundation of skills, steps and style prescribed by dancing masters of the time.
In this workshop, the first in the series, Moira Goff will explore one of the simple yet elegant and sophisticated duets that lie at the heart of the French baroque repertoire for the ballroom. Her emphasis will be on style and technique, from the sound foundation of good deportment. She will work from period sources. Beginners and improvers will be welcome, alongside more experienced dancers. The cost of the workshop is £20 per person for DHDS members and £22 for non-members.
