A group of enthusiasts brought together by a love of the music, costume and dance of past centuries. Their aims are to promote and preserve the knowledge of Early Dance, its place in our cultural heritage, and to enable the enjoyment of such dance by members of the group and the general public.

The Covent Garden Minuet Company is an amateur dance group formed in 1982 by Simon Caradoc Evans, a businessman who wished to experience the joy of dancing to the music of great masters such as Mozart and Handel.

The group Hortus Gratiae was formed in 1994 from members of the choreographer Jaroslava Spackova's ballet and dance school and started to practice historical dance.
