Beim schon fast traditionellen Frankfurter Jane Austen Wochenende nehme ich natürlich wieder die wenigen Tänze aus der Zeit aufs Programm, die wir wirklich Jane Austen zuordnen können. Einen beliebten Tanz: „Mr. Beveridge's Maggot“, der zwar nicht in die Zeit gehört, aber durch die Jane Austen Filme zu einem „Jane Austen Tanz“ wurde, möchte ich in einer neuen quellennahen Fassung ausprobieren. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt werden an diesem Wochenende neue Tänze aus dem „Taschenbuch zum geselligen Vergnügen“ sein, die vermutlich seit rund 200 Jahren nicht mehr getanzt wurden.

The Vampyre Regency Ball

For those who have never been to our Regency Weekend before, here is an outline of the weekend's activities.  I cannot confirm venues at this early stage except for the ball at Palazzo Manresa, information on which is attached.
Friday usually starts with a visit to a vineyard and wine-tasting with finger food. In the evening there will be the dance workshop (5-8pm) followed by supper.
