La Pellegrina (25 years in the Czech Republic in 2015!) offers this wonderful and unique summer school, where instrumentalists, singers and dancers will happily integrate, work together and perform the Florentine Intermedii, at the time intermezzi for the stage play La Pellegrina, but even then more popular than the lengthy play itself.
Dancers will work on late 16th-century dance style and rehearse the period choreographies created by Dorothée Wortelboer. During the second half of the course they will also rehearse together with the instrumental ensemble and/or individual singers and tutti rehearsals will be held in order to put the Intermedii together for two public rehearsals in the beautiful Renaissance hall of Bechynĕ castle.
The course is led by an enthusiastic and experienced team of tutors, all specialists in the field of Renaissance and Baroque music and dance.
