We regret to say that on March 7th 2013 around 6:00 AM in the registered office of the "Cracovia Danza" Court Ballet (Krakow, pl. Na Groblach 7, first floor) a terrifying fire broke out. The fire was extinguished after an intervention of a fire brigade.
As a result, the whole office along with the equipment, electronic appliances and documentation has burned. Other rooms (rehearsal room, dressing room, utility room, sanitary room) have been damaged severely.
Probably, a short circuit of the wiring was the reason for the fire.
Currently, we are waiting for an official opinion of the experts of the police and fire brigade.
We would like to thank all of you for your support and encouragement as well as for the real help from the friends of the “Cracovia Danza” Court Ballet among the institutions and individuals. We are extremely thankful to workers of the Music Association of Krakow as well as to Ewa Hełbicka, the director of the Ballet School of Krakow; Zbigniew Terlecki, the director of the Song and Dance Ensemble “Krakowiacy” and Mariusz Graniczka, the director of the Secondary School no. 1 in Krakow. For making their rooms and facilities available for the dancers of the “Cracovia Danza” Court Ballet. We are also grateful our Facebook friends, especially to Artur Strąk, who initiated the “Help for our Friends – the “Cracovia Danza Court Ballet after a terrifying fire”event.
