Celebration and Inspiration

Accademia Amsterdam (dir. Onno Verschoor) invites participants to an exciting summer course dedicated to Baroque chamber music and dance. Particular attention is paid to the overall interpretation of the early baroque period up to classicism. Accademia Amsterdam will treat participants to an inspiring concert. Students present themselves in the beautiful Auditorium Marianum of the Istituto Musicale 'G. Frescobaldi', located in the historical centre of Perugia and where most of the classes take place. The historical and artistic beauty of Perugia and the gentle landscape of the Umbrian hills serve as a source of inspiration.

Courses are open to all dancers, instrumentalists and singers. Participants of all ages can apply, from moderately advanced amateurs to college of music students. This year's repertoire will greatly draw from Purcell's King Arthur and his other stage works.

Once again Ricardo Barros join Accademia Amsterdam, offering Baroque Dance classes and also the rare opportunity for participants to additionally have individual Baroque dance lessons, if interested.
