International Renaissance Festival

We would like to invite you to the International Renaissance Festival that will take place between 7th-11th June, 2017 in Lublin, Poland.

International Renaissance Festival is an encounter with dance, music and theatre of the Jagiellonian era. The festival is inspired by courtly culture. Dive into colourful history and discover Lublin Renaissance. Find out more about culture and daily life of 'The Golden Era'. Travel to times when Lublin flourished and learn about places related to the Jagiellonian kings rule. Meet courtly dance, art, music and theatre enthusiasts, and enjoy dell'arte comedy. Live in history!

During the festival you will be able to see performances of well known historical music and dance groups, such as Remdih from the Czech Republic; Pavanilia Ensemble from Warsaw; Old Dance Ensemble of the Wroclaw University; Ana Yepes - dancer, choreographer, researcher into dance (universities in Madrid and Hague) an dance teacher (Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Collège de Sorbonne), founder of Ensemble Donaires ballet group; and the only professional Polish comedy dell'arte group - The Comedians Troupe from Cracow. All the artists will take part in educational activities and present their shows in historical part of Lublin The Festival events will be taking place in the areas of Lublin Castle and The Dominican Monastery in Lublin.
