Seit 24 Jahren finden im malerischen Städtchen Murten die dem klassischen Konzertrepertoire ­gewidmeten Sommerfestspiele Murten Classics statt. In den letzten Jahren entwickelte sich Murten Classics zu einem weit über die Region hinaus bekannten Musikfestival, das während dreier Wochen die Mauern der mittelalterlichen Stadt zum Klingen bringt. Ein vielseitiges Programm, das Kenner der klassischen Musik und Liebhaber in gleichem Masse anspricht, begeistert jedes Jahr die zahlreichen Besucherinnen und Besucher. Als roter Faden zieht sich jeweils ein Thema durch das ganze Festival.

1692 wurde Henry Purcells Semiopera "The Fairy Queen" uraufgeführt. Als Vorlage für die Barockoper diente Shakespeares "Sommernachtstraum". Philippa Waite hat zu diversen Musikstücken aus der "Fairy Queen" Tänze choreographiert, die in diesem Workshop erlernt werden.
Erfahrung im Barocktanz wird für diesem Kurs vorausgesetzt.

One of the top teen historical celebrations in the Czech Republic, focused on the Middle Ages. Alla Danza will dance reconstruction of dances from the late fifteenth century Brussels manuscript that has most likely context of the Czech lands as evidenced by the coat of arms of the Czech and Hungarian king, contained within it and dances from Guglielmo Ebreo da Pesaro.
