Die katalanischen Musikanten Ramon, Laura und Xavier sind vielen Tanzinteressierten von "Le Grand Bal de l'Europe" aus Gennetines in Frankreich bekannt, wo sie sich zum x-ten Mal erfolgreich in die Herzen der TänzerInnen und ZuhörerInnen gespielt haben. In Wien wird dies nun ihr sechster Kurs.

Terpsychore ist in den Mythen der griechischen Antike die Muse des Tanzes. Ihre vier barocken (zugegebenermaßen fiktiven) Töchter wetteifern miteinander, welcher von ihnen die Siegespalme für den besten Tanz gebührt. Jede von ihnen symbolisiert eine der vier Sparten des Barocktanzes: die "Musa Nobilis" den aristokratischen Gesellschaftstanz, die "Musa rustica" den temperamentvollen Demi-Caractère-Tanz (Handwerker, Seeleute, Bauern etc.), die "Musa seriosa" den virtuosen Theatertanz und die "Musa burlesca" die Groteske.
