La Rossignol is a society of artists and researchers who want to promote, to produce and to diffuse projects with the purpose of spreading ancient music. They present Italian Renaissance music and dances.

Zu einer Melodie aus der Oper Hésione (1701) von André Campra schuf Louis Guillaume Pécour die Choreographie einer eleganten Loure, die zu einem der beliebtesten Tänze des 18. Jahrhunderts wurde. Im Universal-Lexicon aller Wissenschaften und Künste (1732) wird der Aimable Vainqueur als einer von fünf Tänzen erwähnt, die "ein junger Mensch" unbedingt beherrschen sollte, um im Ballsaal bestehen zu können. Er blieb bis zum Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts populär.

Beide Tänze sind für 2 Paare choreographiert und kommen mit wenigen Schrittvariatonen aus. Sie eignen sich daher besonders für Barocktanzeinsteiger, mit und ohne Vorkenntnisse im barocken Schrittrepertoire.

Fortgeschrittene können in diesem Kurs ihr Repertoire an einfachen Balltänzen erweitern und finden außerdem Gelegenheit, eigene Schrittvariationen in bestehende Tanzstrukturen einfließen zu lassen.
