Workshop as a part of the       4th International days of Baroque dance in Potsdam:

Part 1:

Work on a solo choreographed (by Philippa Waite) for a production of Purcell's Dido & Aeneas.

The workshop will focus on technique & style.

Participants: advanced dancers, familiar with steps of baroque dance, at least 6, max. 12

Time: 19th of June, 2.0 p.m. till 5.30 p.m

Unter Leitung von: Yana Voinova und Nikita Avdeev / St. Petersburg, RUSSLAND

Inhalt wird die Erarbeitung des Tanzes "Entrée de deux Bacchante", choreographiert von Pécour, sein.

Der Workshop ist geeignet für erfahrene Tänzer, die vertraut sind mit barockem Schrittmaterial, wie coupé, coupé battu, pas de bourrée (ou fleurets), chassées, jettés, contre-temps, pas de rigaudon, pas galliarde und einige andere.

Le Quadrille  (von M. Magny, 1765) ist ein Contredanse für 2 Paare / 4 TänzerInnen, der die wichtigsten Barocktanzschritte, die in den Contredanses gebraucht werden, enthält (pas de gavotte, rigaudon, chassé, balancé, dèmi pirouette,  dèmi contretemps, contretemps croisée u.a.). 

Der Tanz kann zum Mittsommernachtsball aufgeführt werden.

Co-ordination Technique in the Baroque

This is a course for those wishing to explore and consolidate basic baroque technique. This course focuses on step and arm co-ordination, working with basic step sequences and a variety of rhythms and tempi.  We will not be trying to learn an actual dance, so there is time to concentrate on style and presentation.

The level is general - but students should have done at least a little baroque already.

Im Rahmen des Wedding-Seminars findet ein kostenfreier Sondertermin zum Kennenlernen historischer Tänze am 3.11.13 um 16-18 Uhr statt. Der Veranstaltungsraum findet sich im zweiten Stock des Hinterhauses und ist über die Türe zur rechten Seite auf dem zweiten Hof zu erreichen.

Montags 18:00-20:30 eher Fortgeschrittene

Mittwochs 15:30-18:00 eher Anfänger

Getanzt werden Tänze aus 8 Jahrhunderten, darunter viele Playfords und Branlen, aber auch weniger bekannte schöne Dinge. Grundsätzlich sind beide Termine für alle Interessenten offen.

Blokfluitist Jacqueline Dubach en tenor Christopher Kale van ensemble Fortuna zijn specialisten in de uitvoering van muziek uit middeleeuwen en renaissance. Hun passie voor dit vroege repertoire is meer dan aanstekelijk – alle reden om een weekendcursus te geven!

We spelen en zingen in kleine en grote bezetting, in homogene en heterogene ensembles, waarbij cursisten zoveel mogelijk worden ingedeeld in ensembles van gelijk niveau.

The 14th ‘Cracovia Danza’ Court Dance Festival will be held between July 28th and August 4th 2013 and will revolve around the leitmotif of "Spanish Court".
