The 14th ‘Cracovia Danza’ Court Dance Festival will be held between July 28th and August 4th 2013 and will revolve around the leitmotif of "Spanish Court".

Course in Baroque Dance, intermediates & advanced, every wednesday evening 20-22 hrs, year round (other periods from medieval till early 20th century, depending on upcoming events, with extra lessons)

Course in Baroque, beginners, every thursday evening, 19.30 -21.30 hrs, year round 

7.15 p.m. Dr Stuart Hopps has choreographed over a dozen of Shakespeare's plays for the stage and seven for the cinema, working with Kenneth Branagh among others. Not primarily a dance historian, he nevertheless likes to use authentic material as a starting point where possible. Dr Hopps will discuss how he has had to adapt his work to the style and demands of particular productions and the capabilities of the artists involved. The results may be provocative for dance purists, but he hopes nonetheless enjoyable.

The 17th century in Spain saw the development of a distinct national style in dance, both sober and passionate, which remained popular even during the influx of French fashions in the 18th century. The technique is full of light leaps, and was created over some of the most irresistible music ever composed, like the folias, chacona and canarios.

During this course, we'll be studying steps and variations from Jaque and Minguet as well as sequences from Spanish traditional dance, such as the fandango. There will also be castanet work with some of the dances.

Internationale Tanzschule im Advent für Gesellschaftstanz des 19. Jahrhunderts >BallTanz< mit Grand Ball >Kaiserliche Weihnacht<

Salontänze der Weihnachts- und Winterzeit von 1840 bis 1905: Kurs 1: 18.12.- 21.12.2013  / Kurs 2: 20.12.- 21.12.2013/Sa-Kurs: 21.12.2013  und stilvolle Ballnacht am 21.12.2013 im Gesellschaftstanz des 19. Jhdts. sowie Gala Programm mit Livemusik von Orchester & Solisten im Schloss „Albrechtsberg“ Dresden, im Palais Prinz Albrecht von Preussen.

An diesem Wochenende begeben wir uns auf eine imaginäre Reise zu den prachtvollsten Höfen, die das ausgehende Mittelalter kannte, ins Burgund eines Philipps des Guten und eines Karls des Kühnen, das mit seiner ins Höchste verfeinerten Hofkultur Vorbild für ganz Europa wurde, und nach Mailand, das dank seiner Condottieri  unter den Visconti und Sforza zur dominierenden Macht in Oberitalien aufgestiegen war. 

Wir laden Anfänger und mit historischen Tänzen vertraute Tänzer zu einem besonderen Ereignis ein: Ein Samstagnachmittag und Abend mit leicht zu lernenden, abwechslungsreichen und sehr unterhaltsamen Kreis- und Gassentänzen aus der französischen Renaissance (Thoinot Arbeau "Orchesografie") und dem englischen Frühbarock (John Playford “The English Dancing Master”). Alle Tänze werden angeleitet, so dass auch Anfänger gut mitkommen können. Der Nachmittag ist zum Üben gedacht, der Abend zum entspannten Genießen der Tänze.
