A preparatory workshop for the baroque bal is organised by festival Les Chemins de Tolerance from July 27th to July 30th in Valleraugue (South of France). It will consist of country dances in the French and in the English way. They will be taught by Guillaume Jablonka.

A baroque Bal in costume is organised by festival Les Chemins de Tolerance in Valleraugue (south of France) on Saturday July 30th. It will be led by Guillaume Jablonka. A preparatory workshop of 3 days is also organised.

Guillaume Jablonka will give a one week course in French Baroque Dance during the Academie du Capriccio Francais in Barcelona from July 18th till 22th, every day from 9.30 till 12.30. Du XVe siècle à la Renaissance, nous connaissons essentiellement la danse de cour. Bien danser, savoir chanter et jouer d’un instrument permettaient de tenir avec grâce et dignité son rang dans la société. La Renaissance en musique et en danse est caractérisée par l’introduction dans le registre courtois de formes et d’éléments populaires. C’est ainsi qu’une part importante est accordée aux rondes, facteur de convivialité et de cohésion sociale.

du XIIe Recueil de danses pour l'année 1714.

"Tanzen muß man sie sehen! ..." Wir erlernen die Tänze aus der Ballszene, die in "Die Leiden des jungen Werther; 16. Junius" ausgeführt sind. Mit einen "Deutschen" nebst Menuett, dem Walzer und dem "Englischen" werden wir uns auf Goethes, Lottes und Werthers Tanz-Spuren begeben.
