Auch 2018 ist Jane Austen für uns die Namenspatronin für die Tänze der Empirezeit – des späten 18. und frühen 19. Jahrhunderts, auch wenn diesmal kein rundes Jubiläum ansteht. Wir werden uns in diesem Jahr nicht ganz so eng an Jane Austen orientieren, schließlich wollen wir ja auch viele neue Tänze erlernen, der eine oder andere echte Jane Austen Tanz wird aber natürlich dabei sein.

In diesem Workshop wollen wir Tänze aus der Zeit von Jane Austen (1775-1817) tanzen. Auf dem Programm steht eine abwechslungsreiche Mischung von Choreographien  verschiedene Typen - Gassentänze, Cotillons, Quadrillen –aus verschiedenen Ländern.

Für diesen Tanzworkshop ist Tanzerfahrung wünschenswert. Bitte bequeme Kleidung und Gymnastikschuhe oder ähnliches mitbringen.
Ein Partner wird für die Anmeldung nicht benötigt!

Our annual Pride & Prejudice Ball is so popular that for 2018 we have added a new afternoon tea dance at the beautiful Lion Ballroom in Leominster.  There will be a live band and caller at each event – so dress up in your Georgian finery and join us!  Light refreshments provided.

If you haven’t already done so, you should secure your air tickets and accommodation as soon as possible. We recommend that you stay in or near to Valletta. Transport will be provided for any activities which do not take place in Valletta.

Jane Austen Festival Australia is an annual celebration in Canberra where living history enthusiasts from all over Australia come and indulge themselves in everything Georgian, Regency & Early Victorian - including dancing, music, food, games, archery, fencing, theatre, promenades, grand balls, talks, workshops, costumes and books. Since its inception in 2008 this little festival has blossomed into one of the most delightful weekend anyone could experience each April in an old and beautiful part of Canberra, the Federal capital of Australia.

In den Romanen und Romanverfilmungen der britischen Autorin Jane Austen (1775-1817) wird gerne getanzt. Dies ist für viele der Erstkontakt mit Tänzen des 18ten Jahrhunderts und eine Inspiration, selbst einmal tanzend in die Rolle von Lizzie oder Mr. Darcy zu schlüpfen.

Le programme de ces 4 ateliers est dédié à la mise en perspective des répertoires italiens, français et anglais à la fin du 16e siècle et dans les premières années du siècle suivant tant au niveau des pas que des figures.

Des chorégraphies pour 3 couples seront proposées :

• Barriera nuova et Contrapasso nuovo pour l'Italie,
• Kemp's Jig et Jenny Pluck Pears pour l'Angleterre.

Ces stages s'adressent à tous les niveaux sauf aux débutants dans la danse en général.
