About me: 

LETIZIA DRADI took her first steps in ancient dance in 1992. She studied Palaeography and Musical Philology at the University of Cremona, Italy, blending research on dance and musical studies.
She has gone on stage with the New York Dance Company of C. Turocy in The Pleasure of the Dance and in The Temple of Glory at Jarvis Theater in Napa, California.
As a specialist in 18th-century Italian dances, she has choreographed Sellitto’s Drusilla and Don Strabone intermissions and Hasse’s La Contadina for La Petite Bande directed by S. Kujiken.
She has travelled throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas with ensembles such as Le Concert des Nations of J. Savall, Concert Royal of J. Richman, Doulce Mémoire, Dowland Consort of J. Lindberg, Elyma of G. Garrido, La Follia of G. Fabiano, Micrologus, Musica Fiorita of D. Dolci, La Risonanza of F. Bonizzoni, Risonanze of C. Chiarappa, Norsk Barokkrkester Rolf Lislevand.
She has given keynote speeches on her research at numerous congresses and conferences for the Society of Dance History Scholars U.S.A,Dolmetsch Historical Dance Society London, the Conservatory of Music in Lugano, Rovigo, Pesaro and Brescia and the University of Bologna. She has studied dance 800 at the Società di Danza ( Modena) and recently she has prepared a video on dance in the Carnival of 1851 for the University in Milano. She danced in the film Romeo and Juliet by Carlo Carlei with Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth.
