Norwich Historical Dance are hosting a workshop by Anne Daye on Jacobean Masque Dance on Saturday 28th June 2014 at the Belvedere Centre in Belvoir Street, Norwich, NR2 3AZ., from 11.30am to 5.30pm;

Diese besonders in Dänemark sehr verbreitete Quadrille ist im engeren Sinne eine Contredanse in Vierpaaraufstellung (Square), da sie die typischen Merkmale eines solchen Tanzes aufweist: Fünf Touren sind zu einer Suite zusammengefasst. Diese hübsche, „kleine Suite“ hat Pécour zur Geburt des Duc de Bretagne 1707 geschrieben und seiner Mutter, Madame la Duchesse de Bourgogne, gewidmet. Sie war die Lieblingsnichte von Louis XIV. und war gemäss den Beschreibungen der Zeit eine ausgezeichnete Tänzerin.

„Tirsi und Clori“

In diesem Wochenendkurs erarbeiten wir uns eine Choreographie von Lieven Baert für fünf Tänzer bzw. Tänzerinnen zu dem Tanz-Madrigal „Tirsi und Clori“ von Monteverdi. Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme an diesem Workshop sind Kenntnisse in italienischer Renaissance-Schritttechnik (Caroso, Negri).

Organization

The 19th century stages of Saturday afternoon and Sunday will be special.
They will focus on theory and practice of social dance of 19th century. We will study dance and dance manuals reasoning and understanding dances from the sources and meantime understanding how the dance system we use is structured.

Ana Yepes, dancer, choreographer and musician, teaches Baroque Dance according to the french sources of XVII e XVIII centuries by Pierre Rameau, Raoul-Auger Feuillet. Her work on technique and interpretation, as well as the warm-up she proposes are also essential elements of her teaching.

Ana Yepes teaches Spanish baroque dance according to the following sources: Esquivel de Navarro, “Discursos sobre el Arte de Danzado”, Sevilla 1642 and Juan Antonio Jaque “El Libro de danzar”, XVIIth century. Her work on technique and interpretation, as well as the warm-up she proposes are also essential elements of her teaching.

Für die ungeliebten Töchter von Francesco, Eleonore und Maria, bedeutet das nichts Gutes. Wann werden die Kinder der venezianischen Schönheit sie vom Hof verdrängen? Auch Kardinal Ferdinando, Bruder und bis jetzt nächster Erbe des Großherzogs, sieht dunkle Wolken über Florenz aufziehen. Was, wenn Bianca bald einen männlichen Erben präsentieren würde?

La belle danse oder der Barocktanz, so wie wir ihn heute deuten, ist entwickelt nach einem speziellen System von Positionen, Haltungen und Techniken, die geübt werden müssen.

Die fünf Positionen, die spezifische Armhaltung und die technischen Schwierigkeiten fordern ein vorhergehendes Training und Körperbeherrschung

Darum gründete Ludwig XIV. auch die „Académie de la danse“ Mitte des 17.Jhdts.
