Workshop as a part of the 5th International days of Baroque dance in Potsdam:

Choreographing in the Baroque style: Group dances, for experienced dancers

The workshop will look at 2 contrasting dances, choreographed by Philippa either to music from Telemanns "Hochzeit-Divertissement" (with a choice of dances from a rigaudon of 5, a gigue of 3, a loure of 4 or a passepied for 4) of a Passepied for 3 for music by Kirnberger.

Der Kurs richtet sich an Barocktänzer mit Grundschrittrepertoire, die Spaß daran haben, eine mögliche Form der tänzerischen und szenischen Realisierung kennenzulernen.

Alte Favoriten und neue Choreografien auf 15.Jahrhundertmusik werden angeboten.

15.Jahrhunderttänze bleiben ein Unikum im historischen Tanz. Musikalisch und choreografisch bleiben sie eine Inspirationsquelle was Musikalität und Diversität in Rhythmus und Tempo, Eleganz und Dynamik betrifft. Nur ein intensives und bewusstes Training kann diese Tänze zum Leben erwecken und somit auch eine Pseudo-Eleganz vermeiden.
