16th Cracovia Danza Court Dance Festival

The 16th edition of “Cracovia Danza” Court Dance Festival organized by Cracovia Danza Court Ballet and „Ardente Sole” foundation will be held in Cracow on 26th July - 2nd August. The main theme will be Grotesque and comedy in court dance.

Traditionally, important elements of Festival are workshops led by remarkable specialists from all over the world. This year there will be courses by the great masters of early dance: Barbara Segal (English dance, baroque dance), Marie-Claire Bär Le Corre (French dance, workshop for children), Ana Yepes (Spanish dance), Alaknanda Bose (Indian Kathak dance) and Leszek Rembowski (old-polish dance).

Since a few years the Festival offer has been extended to include acting classes. In this edition they will refer to the main theme. Commedia dell’arte workshop will be led by the only actors in Poland specialized in this kind of theatre. Krzysztof Antkowiak, on the other hand, will display to his students some secrets of the art of pantomime.

In the workshop part of the festival there is also place for dance devoted companion – music. During music courses instrumentalists and vocalists will have an opportunity to enrich their knowledge and skills in the field of music performed for dance. The classes will be led by French musicians: Gwinnevivre Quenel (Renaissance singing), Robin Joly (music for dance) and Pascale Boquet (lute, guitar).

- five-day long workshops
- evening concert and shows at Villa Decius
- “Cracovia Danza” historical ball
- consultation with experts
- membership of “Decius Danza” workshop team, which leads to participation in presentations, concerts and performances on stages set in the historic places of Cracow and parade through the streets of Old Town

The price of one course: 290 PLN (60 €)*
The price of classes for children: 180 PLN (40 €)*

ADVANCE AMOUNT
Advanced amount for workshops participation is 100 PLN (25 €)/person, payment until July 10th 2015.
The second part of payment for workshops participation paid by bank transfer or cash directly before the start of workshops There is also the option of paying for the entire workshops.
