It will be the inspiration for a weekend workshop featuring the dances of the Cinquecento reconstructed according to the treatises by dance masters.

Der sechste historische Tanzball am Biedermeierstrand findet wieder im Rahmen des Biedermeierstrandfestes statt. In diesem Jahr soll er den Komponisten Johann Strauß Vater (1804-1849) und Sohn (1825–1899) gewidmet sein, die durch das 19. Jahrhundert hinweg durch ihre Tanzmusik beide den Titel „Walzerkönig“ erhielten. Der Sohn – welcher in diesem Jahr 200 Jahre alt geworden wäre – ist zudem für seine Operetten, wie z.B. „Die Fledermaus“ oder „Eine Nacht in Venedig“ bekannt.
