Ballroom Dances from the Period 1800-1900.
It will be the 10th time for the Dance Summer School. The school is a course, a Grand Ball and sightseeing in the neighbourhood. Full accomodation and lodging is at Snoghoj Folk High School. The topic of the class is to show how the elements of the allemande couple dance were incorporated in country dances. There are many fine and entertaining examples in the collection of dances from the Danish court in the late 18th century: all longways dances, and for variation in addition some German cotillions also with allemande elements, dances from the court at Dresden by Bigatti from the manuscripts now in Krakow, etc.
