Società di Danza Firenze organizes a christmas 19th Century Grand  Ball in the beautiful Villa Viviani  

Waltzes, quadrills, polka and mazurkas, contredanse and marches, Scottish country dances.

The ball will take place in the charming ancient salon of Villa Viviani.

The historical villa has also a beautiful italian garden with a scenographic view of the City  

The buffet will be served at the of the Ball.

Circolo Pisano della Società di Danza organizes anreconstruction of a 19th Cenntury grand Ball in the marvellious historical Villa Agostini della Seta di Corliano, close to Pisa.

Quadrilles, waltz, polka and mazurkas, contredanse and marches, Scottish country dance and aglio.

The ball will take place in the elegant and charming main salon with ancient frescoes of Villa della Seta di Corliano.

The ball, a universal social phenomenon, whether at princely courts, civic festivities or private celebrations, has many new facets across the centuries.

European and American Ballroom Dances from the period 1800-1900, Course, Thé-Dansant and Grand Ball. A week with dance, full lodging and posibility for sightseeing.

This time, E. F. D. Helmke offers us his Coq-à-l'ane, which means a silly, or incoherent chatter. This delightful and unique Quodlibet sets a Tempo di Marcia, Contredanse, Minuet, Ecossaise, Waltz, Française, Polonaiseand Galopp-quadrillein a row in their respective formations (Taschenbuch für Tänzer und Tänzerinnen auf das Jahr 1833, Merseburg).

Beim schon fast traditionellen Frankfurter Jane Austen Wochenende nehme ich natürlich wieder die wenigen Tänze aus der Zeit aufs Programm, die wir wirklich Jane Austen zuordnen können. Einen beliebten Tanz: „Mr. Beveridge's Maggot“, der zwar nicht in die Zeit gehört, aber durch die Jane Austen Filme zu einem „Jane Austen Tanz“ wurde, möchte ich in einer neuen quellennahen Fassung ausprobieren. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt werden an diesem Wochenende neue Tänze aus dem „Taschenbuch zum geselligen Vergnügen“ sein, die vermutlich seit rund 200 Jahren nicht mehr getanzt wurden.

Tanzschwerpunkt sind exklusive Quadrillen, originale Paartänze des 19. Jahrhunderts & ein russischer Marsch - in Erinnerung an Russland

This year’s focus will be on exclusive quadrilles, original couple dances of the 19th century & the Russian March - in memory of Russia
