Learn the dances of the Baroque period with musicians, actors and more! Break the barrier of tedium and discover a portal to the 18th century.
Take this one class or the whole series of classes and learn the dance forms used by Bach and Mozart in their dance suites.
This class is open to professional dancers, teachers, students, musicians, singers, actors and dance enthusiasts, ages 13 and up.

Horaires : 13h30 à 21h30 (14h-17h puis 18h-21h).

Note d’intention

Depuis la découverte du répertoire des chorégraphies authentiques du 18ème siècle, les critères musicaux, chorégraphiques ou techniques ont dicté le choix de déchiffrer et remonter telle ou telle danse.

Nachdem die Revolution verstummte und Napoleon Frankreich und Europa "einte", erfüllten rauschende Feste Säle und Salons, und bei beschwingten Tänzen und vergnüglichen Spielen vertrieb man sich die Zeit.
Zu kurz war die Zeit zwischen den Kriegen und Kämpfen, umso fröhlicher der "Tanz auf dem Vulkan".
Lieven Baert, Gent, wird uns vom 16. - 19. Mai in die aufregenden Tänze und Formationen der Epoche einführen.
Im Anschluss an diesen Kurs findet ein Frühlingsspaziergang & Picknick sowie ein Ball im Stil des 19. Jahrhunderts statt.

An 6. November 2011 um 18h entführt das Ensemble Celeste Sirene gemeinsam mit den Tänzern Antje Lükemann und Niels Badenhop die Zuschauer zurück an den Hof des Sonnenkönigs. Das Programm "Marais en Suite" bietet nicht nur Kammermusik des großen Gambenvirtuosen Marin Marais, sondern auch Vokalmusik seines Zeitgenossen Monteclair. Dazu zeigen die Barocktänzer Choreoraphien der Zeit in prachtvollen Kostümen dieser großen Epoche französischer Kultur.

Im Rahmen des diesjährigen "Lichterglanz"- Events im Park und den Bauten rund um Schloß Sanssouci/ Potsdam präsentiert Ballet Baroque gemeinsam mit dem Ensemble Celeste Sirene und der Mezzosopranistin Friederike Rinne-Wolf noch einmal "La danse des Élements", eine Verbildlichung der vier Elemente vor den Entsprechenden Statuen auf dem Figurenrondell an der Großen Fontäne unterhalb des Schlosses. Das Programm ist eine Mischung aus Rezitation, Tanz und Gesang mit Choreoraphien und französischer Musik des 18. Jahrhunderts. Es tanzen Beate Horlitz und Niels Badenhop.

The workshop will be based on the interpretation of a pantomime dance scene taken from the Ferrère manuscript (1782), Pas de trois des deux soldats et de la villageoise, where no character should speak out against any other!! All kinds of experiences will be profitable to get closer to this interweaving of dance steps ans physical theatre.

Each trainer will give in the morning a class of his specialty to bring the technical requirements, then a common afternoon time will give all the performers the opportunity to synthetize and build up a new scene inspired by the manuscript.
