TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ATTENDANCE IN FESTIVAL PAWANA 2010
(JULY 4TH – JULY 9TH 2010)

1. The workshops are integral part of Festival and contain 2 independent blocks. The number of vacancies in each group has been limited to ~ 30 people. The minimum is 12 people.
a) XV and XVI century Italian dances (intermediate and advanced).
b) XIX century

Tanzworkshop - BallTanz III – Quadrille Les Lanciers
Zwei Quadrillen beherrschten über zwei Jahrhunderte die Ballsäle - die Francaise und die QUADRILLE LES LANCIERS

Quadrille Les Lanciers - in ihrer Schweizer Fassung von 1897 mit einem Einblick auf ihre Ursprungsgestalt in Duval’s Second Set aus Dublin & London von 1819 sowie ihre Variationen aus Deutschland, Frankreich und Nordamerika im 19. Jahrhundert und ihre heutige Fassung, getanzt am Dänischen Königshaus .

Samstag, 25. September 2010 10:00 bis 17:30 Uhr für Anfänger & Fortgeschrittene

A weekend workshop on Contra dances taken from H.G.O. Washburn, Ball Room Manual (Boston 1863) and Elias Howe, Complete Ballroom Handbook (Boston, New York, Philadelphia 1858) and taught by Paolo Di Segni.

At the end of the workshop there will be a demonstration and a Thé dansant, both with live music.

Königin Elizabeth I. von England soll jeden Morgen einige Galliarden getanzt haben, um in Schwung zu kommen -dazu eignet sich dieser beliebte Tanz der Renaissance, der besonders in französischen und italienischen Tanzquellen ausführlich beschrieben wurde, ja auch besonders gut! Anfänger können ihn bei diesem Workshop kennenlernen, Fortgeschrittene vertiefen ihre Kenntnisse.
Die Gagliarda/Galliarde ist fröhlich, lebhaft - und sprungintensiv!

Einstudiert werden soll ein Gruppentanz des Rokoko mit Soloelementen für einzelne Tänzerinnen und Tänzer.

In 1673, Molière and Charpentier collaborated to produce “Le Malade Imaginaire”, with interludes where shepherds, moors, comedians and crazy doctors sang and danced and clowned their way through a succession of fantastical scenes.

We will be looking at the First Interlude: Polichinelle comes to serenade his beloved – with disastrous results! We‘ll be concentrating on mask work, commedia, and ensemble dance work.

Actors and Singers are welcome as well as Dancers!

This event will take place at the Wallace's '18th-Century Day' which this year celebrates Louis XV's 300th 'birthday'. We'll also mark the 350th anniversary of Campra's birth.
In the programme works by Campra and Rebel.
