Die Tanztage 2014 stehen unter dem Motto „Aufblühende Gärten“ und weisen thematisch bereits auf die 2015 in Bad Ischl stattfindende Landesgartenschau hin.
Ein rauschendes venezianisches Fest in historischen Kostümen verspricht der barocke Abend mit dem Gastensemble La Danza unter dem Titel „Serenata Italiana“.

For a long time I didn’t consider myself as a Jane Austen fan – a Janeite as I learned the term a few months ago. Of course I knew the books, or at least I heard about them. But – the moment of truth – I was about 16 when I first saw (saw, not read) the Sense and Sensibility. The Emma Thompson/Kate Winslet movie. And I loved it. But still, the grat recognition, the falling in love was still missing. I mean yes, Willoughby was handsome and I admire Alan Rickman, but come on... Neither of them is Darcy, am I right?

Die von dem berühmten Tanzmeister von Ludwig XIV Raoul-Auger Feuillet begehrte Kontratanzsammlung Recueil de Contredances (Paris 1706) bekommt endlich eine Einspielung von der dazu notierten Musik. Von den 32 Tänzen existieren nur vereinzelt Aufnahmen und nun wird eine abwechslungsreiche Auswahl von 10 typischen Tänzen hörbar gemacht. Damit wird endlich eine in den Fachkreisen schon lang bedauerte Lücke geschlossen. Die Aufnahme findet im Juni statt in der Besetzung:
