Christian Ludwig Boxbergs Oper in 3 Akten und Prolog "Sardanapalus" wurde 1698 am Ansbacher Hof uraufgeführt und seitdem nicht mehr gespielt. Das Stück handelt vom letzten Herrscher der Assyrer Sardanapalus, der an seiner Luxusgier und seinen Leidenschaften zugrunde geht und sich am Ende des Stückes mit seinen Frauen und Schätzen auf dem Scheiterhaufen selbst verbrennt.

The traditional Summer School of Società di Danza will be held this year in Tabiano Terme (Parma), on the Parmesan hills.
Three days of holiday and vacation. Classes in the morning and the afternoon, dancing evening and free time to enjoy the spa.
We will study 19th century dance: waltz, quadrille, polka, mazurka and Scottish Country Dance.

In one of the most famous cities of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
In a beautiful natural environment, we will have the opportunity to spend a few days of community life, and to study more in-depth theoretical and practical aspects of our idea of 19th century social dance.
We study social dances of 19th Century tradition:
