Von den Lauden und Saltarelli des Trecento bis zu den „Dolci canti e dolce dance“ des Seicento:
• Rekonstruktion von Musik und Tanz des späten Mittelalters und der Renaissance zwischen 1360 und 1600.
• Praktische Anwendung und Einübung in enger Verknüpfung von Musik- und Tanzklassen.

Programm:

Welcome to a weekend workshop with Karin Modigh, aiming at students with a fair experience of Feuillet notated dances. The course will include technique training and a repertory dance: Entrée espagnolle pour un homme et une femme by Pécour (1704).

The central work of this course, on which all the singers, instrumentalists and dancers cooperate, is this year's opera-ballet Les Indes galantes ("The urbane Indians"), the first of a series of ballet operas in 1735 by French composer Jean-Philippe Rameau to a libretto by Louis Fuzelier. By 1730 there was a fad for operas in the form of ballet operas based on mythological themes. In Rameau's Les Indes galantes he returns to that form, but he gives the roles more contemporary, modern characters, just as Campra did in L'Europe galante (1697).

Learn the dances of the Baroque period with musicians, actors and more! Break the barrier of tedium and discover a portal to the 18th century.
Take this one class or the whole series of classes and learn the dance forms used by Bach and Mozart in their dance suites.
This class is open to professional dancers, teachers, students, musicians, singers, actors and dance enthusiasts, ages 13 and up.

Depuis la découverte du répertoire des chorégraphies authentiques du 18ème siècle, les critères musicaux, chorégraphiques ou techniques ont dicté le choix de déchiffrer et remonter telle ou telle danse.

Dieses Wochenendseminar führt uns auf eine Reise durch das Europa vergangener Jahrhunderte. Mit französischen Kreistänzen und Pavanen, englischen Measures und Country Dances begeben wir uns in die Tanzsäale von Schlössern, in Galerien von Adelssitzen und städtischen Tanzhäusern. Eine bunte Auswahl an einfachen Tänzen bietet einen Überblick über die reizvolle und vielfältige Tanzlandschaft dieser Epochen.
