Choreographien um 1830 von Michel St.-Léon

An diesem Wochenende beschäftigen wir uns mit „Alpen = Quadrilles“, die Eduard Eichler „den biederen Bewohnern Steiermark’s“ im Jahr 1840 „achtungsvoll gewidmet“ hat. Quadrillen sind Tänze in Karree-Aufstellung mit vier Paaren, oft gibt es einen ganzen Satz dieser Tänze, die dann hintereinander getanzt werden. Hier sind sie zwölf an der Zahl und sie entstammen dem Büchlein: „Terpsichore – Neuer Ball- u Masken-Almanach für Freunde des geselligen Vergnügens“, von dem ich ein Originalexemplar habe.

Wieder einmal binden Hannelore und Andrea einen bunten und reichhaltigen Strauß aus choreographischen Raritäten und Gustostückerl der Tanzquellen des 19. Jahrhunderts.  Diesmal stehen weitere Contredansesdes bewährten Tanzmeisters E. F. D. Helmke auf unserem Programm:L’Ancre, La Cigogne, Le Chamois, Le Casque, Le Roi.

In the mid nineteenth century, new quadrilles were choreographed all over Europe. The enormous number of new dances shows the popularity of these four-couple dances. The dancing masters tried to find new and surprising ways of making the dancers move in a square.

One of the most characteristic and most known in the world polish dances is the main character of the latest Cracovia Danza ballet production. The performance Poloneza czas zacząć (Let the polonaise begin) that show this dance history between 17th century and year 1918, will have it's premiere on the stage of Variete Theatre on 9th October 2018 at 7 pm.

Das „Casseler Tanzalbum“ war eines von 5 Casseler Tanz-Alben mit Tänzen für die Gesellschaft der 2. Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts. Das Besondere an diesem hier vorliegenden Tanz-Album ist, dass die Kompositionen die Stadt Kassel um 1870 - 1880 durch Walzer-, Polka, Rheinländer Polka-, Schottisch-, Mazurka-, Walzer-, und Galoppmelodien betanzen.
