Circolo Pisano della Società di Danza organizes anreconstruction of a 19th Cenntury grand Ball in the marvellious historical Villa Agostini della Seta di Corliano, close to Pisa.

Quadrilles, waltz, polka and mazurkas, contredanse and marches, Scottish country dance and aglio.

The ball will take place in the elegant and charming main salon with ancient frescoes of Villa della Seta di Corliano.

"Das vor mehr als 100 Jahren erstmalig erschienene „Casseler Tanz-Album. 12 Originaltänze in leichter Spielart mit humoristischem Text“ ertanzt die ganze Stadt Kassel. Beginnend mit einer Polonaise „Auf dem Friedrichsplatze“ über eine Mulang-Polka und Westend-Mazurka führt uns das Album bis hin zum Walzer „An der Fulda grünem Strande“.

The Winter Ball at Castle d’Ursel is a fine tradition. On Saturday 25 November 2017 we are welcoming you again, with flickering candles on the drive, drinks and refreshments in the mirrored room and of course an extensive programme of dances in the hall. This year's theme will be 1873.

In 1873 Johann Strauss composes "Wiener Blut", a waltz that even today most of us would recognise. A year later Strauss becomes even more famous with his operetta "Die Fledermaus".

In den Romanen und Romanverfilmungen der britischen Autorin Jane Austen (1775-1817) wird gerne getanzt. Dies ist für viele der Erstkontakt mit Tänzen des 18ten Jahrhunderts und eine Inspiration, selbst einmal tanzend in die Rolle von Lizzie oder Mr. Darcy zu schlüpfen.

In diesem Sommertanzkurs bieten wir einen Potpourri von Tänzen der Zeit zwischen 1780 und 1870 an. Lieven Baert hat dazu eine Auswahl von Tänzen aus wenig bekannten Quellen zusammengestellt. Auf dem Programm stehen Quadrillen, Contredanses, Ecossaisen, Douzes, Cotillons und Walzer. Der Tanzkurs wird live am Piano von Lionel Bams begleitet werden.
