The 24th edition of the concert series Musica & Musica, organized by the Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio, features in its section Suoni Nel Tempo a program of dance music with the Orchestra da Ballo de Il Teatro della Memoria, an ensemble led by Andrea Toschi and specialized in the performance – supported by research on the original arrangements – of the typical Salon Orchestra repertory.

In 1815 on the eve of the battle of Quatre Bras the Duchess of Richmond and the ladies of society Revérence held a grand ball that would be unparalleled history. All the allied commanders, diplomats and dignitaries are present. But are the rumours true? Are the troops summoned to march at sunrise to fight against Napoleon? Before the gentlemen say their last goodbyes, the ladies seize the opportunity to whirl across the ball room floor with their husbands, lovers and brothers once more. Only God knows who will return from the battlefield alive…

Historisches Tanzfest in München

Für alle Liebhaber des historischen Tanzes werden wir in der Schießstätte Allach in festlicher Athmosphäre die Tänze des Mittelalters und der Renaissance wieder aufleben lassen.
Von einfachen Reihen- und Kreistänzen bis hin zu anmutigen Figurentänzen - von der Ausgelassenheit dörflicher Feste bis hin zur Pracht höfischer Bälle.
Zum Tanz spielt das Duo „Okzitanis“, das zudem alle Tänze fachkundig anleitet - eine ideale Gelegenheit auch für interessierte Neulinge.

Die Hoftanzgesellschaft des Potsdamer Rokoko lädt Euch ein, mit uns einen barocken Mittsommernachtsball zu feiern. Genießt mit uns die kürzeste Nacht des Jahres mit Tanz, einem Menü mit barocken Speisen, vielerlei Vergnügungen und einem beeindruckendem Ausblick über die wunderschöne Havellandschaft bis nach Potsdam.

Der abendliche Ablauf ist wie folgt geplant:
- Einlass / Sektempfang ab 17:00 Uhr
- Entrée
- Polonaise und weitere gemeinsame Tänze
- Tanzdarbietungen durch Gäste und Gastgeber
- Abendessen 3-Gänge-Menü

Quadrille der markgräflichen Reiterei, Gaukler, Kindertheater, Mit-mach-Aktionen. Führungen, Zauberer, barocke Musik, Kutschenfahrten, Tanz sowie Speis und Trank aus galanten Säculum.

On April 28, 2012 you are cordially invited to dine in the beautiful Neoclassical Rooms of the Hodshon House along the river Spaarne in Haarlem. After dinner you can join a dance evening in the Neo-Gothic Aula. If you cannot dance, do not worry as the steps will be taught on the spot. You can also drink a cup of tea and find entertainment in the various rooms. We request the pleasure of your company, well dressed in the style of 1812.

The Georgian Ball is hosted annually by Bath Minuet Company and has become a highlight of the early dance calendar.

The Guildhall in Bath continues to provide the perfect setting for this event which draws enthusiasts and practitioners of historic dance from across the UK.

A dance workshop is held on the afternoon preceding the ball for the benefit of persons wishing to attend and to assist those with perhaps less dance experience.
