Since 2005 we have held a Grand Regency Ball in Hampshire, each with a different theme. Guests are invited to come in period costume and enjoy popular dances of the time. All dances are called and walked through and there is a workshop beforehand to familiarise guests with the steps.
The Ball has an international following and guests can immerse themselves in the authentic atmosphere of the time. Tickets usually sell out months in advance so it is advisable to book early, as places are limited.

Jahrh.) Eingang am englischen Hof gefunden hatten.

Scottish-Australian composer Alex F. Lithgow and the Italian Paolo Giorza – both active in late 19th and early 20th century Australia with a wide success attested by the abundance of printed editions of their pieces – will be the highlights in an afternoon between music and dance with the Orchestra da Ballo de Il Teatro della Memoria, an ensemble directed by Andrea Toschi and specialized in the performance of the Salon Orchestra repertory.

“The prospect of the Netherfield Ball was extremely agreeable to every female of the family. Mrs Bennet chose to consider it as given in compliment to her eldest daughter…Jane pictured to herself a happy evening… Elizabeth thought with pleasure of dancing a great deal…the happiness anticipated by Catherine and Lydia, depended less on any single event…a ball was at any rate a ball.
