Ball

Chestnut’s Fourth Costume Ball is primarily meant for dancers who have been working on the programme for the past months but it also addresses beginners and onlookers, for whom we have also planned simpler dances.

For advanced dancers, Chestnut is organizing  a 4-day workshop to prepare for the Costume Ball, May 8 to 11.

Please note: registrations for May 1 at the latest!

5. Oktober 2013

A friendly, intimate ball, 7pm to 11pm, in a Victorian theatre with a sprung floor.  MC: Ellis Rogers. Musicians: Green Ginger.  Please wear costume 1850-1900. Tickets £40, to include a light supper.  A bar will be available for the sale of wine, soft drinks.  Free parking outside the house.  Ten minutes walk (or short bus ride) from Teddington Station.  Doors open at 6pm, changing room available.

Special event with overseas guest Dr John Gardiner-Garden—director of the Earthly Delights Historic Dance Academy, author of 15 dance books, producer of 8 dance music CDs and a wonderfully engaging dance leader.

Sunday 8 September, 2.30pm - 5.30pm: Jane Austen Dance Party—enjoying late Georgian and Regency-era dances

Dress up in a historic costume to make the evening more special - and join dance friends of John and Aylwen who are on tour with them - to dance in this most goergous location, pictured above.
