Baroque Dances From Hell!
To honor Persephone and the changing season, we will reconstruct La Royalle. Originally performed in Lully's La Naissance de Vénus, La Royalle is a dance for Pluto and Persephone, les Dieux des Enfers.

English country dance workshop on Saturday, 10th October 2009 from 11:15 - 15:00. In the evening a buffet dinner (40 euros) interspersed with dancing. Regency/ Empire attire obligatory. Guided visit of Strasbourg (weather permitting) or museum visit on Sunday (costumes optional). Space is limited, please reply by September 20th. Ein Workshop mit Tänzen aus den berühmtesten Tanzbüchern der italienischen Renaissance: Jenen von Cesare Negri und Fabrizio Caroso.

Kurszeiten:
Anfänger: Freitag 17-18.30h, Samstag 10-13h
Fortgeschrittene: Freitag 19-20.30h, Samstag 15-17h

"Nichts ist vorteilhafter für jene, die eine Liebe zum Tanz haben (...), als sich um eine gute Armführung zu bemühen ..." (P. Rameau 1725).
Hierfür gibt Pierre Rameau in seinem Lehrbuch "Le Maître à Danser" zahlreiche Regeln an: Jedem barocken Schritt werden Armbewegungen zugeordnet und das Bild des barocken Tänzers vollendet sich so in harmonischer Bewegung.
Der Kurs richtet sich an Anfänger mit Vorkenntnissen in barocker Schritttechnik.

Kurszeiten: Freitag 18-20h, Samstag 10-12 und 14-16h
