This society was founded in 1981 and organises day courses led by experienced and qualified tutors. Background information in music, costume and history are provided as well as technique and dances.

Anyone interested in history, early music, ballet, amateur dramatics etc will find these workshops stimulating and fun.

Du XVe siècle à la Renaissance, nous connaissons essentiellement la danse de cour. Bien danser, savoir chanter et jouer d’un instrument permettaient de tenir avec grâce et dignité son rang dans la société. La Renaissance en musique et en danse est caractérisée par l’introduction dans le registre courtois de formes et d’éléments populaires. C’est ainsi qu’une part importante est accordée aux rondes, facteur de convivialité et de cohésion sociale.

Gegen Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts zählte es zum guten Stil, auch auf italienische Weise tanzen zu können. Wir folgen also den Beschreibungen von Fabritio Caroso (Autor des berühmten Tanzlehrbuches "Il Ballarino") und seinem Tanzmeister-Kollegen Cesare Negri und rekonstruieren die eleganten Bassa Danzas und die abwechslungsreichen, z.T. pantomimischen Balletti, die sie uns empfehlen.

Ein Einstieg in die Tänze vergangener Zeiten: Getanzt werden sowohl Tänze mit höfischer Prachtentfaltung als auch Tänze aus dem Volk. Hier spielen nicht zuletzt die Bedeutung der Blicke, der Gesten, die Einstimmung auf Partner, Gruppe und Raum eine besondere Rolle. Über die Bewegung eröffnen sich neue Zugänge zur Musik und Einblicke in das Lebensgefühl einer anderen, längst vergangenen Gesellschaftsform.

Fast jeden Freitag um 18.00 Uhr treffen sich im Studio Baladin Anfänger und leicht fortgeschrittene TänzerInnen, um Tänze vom 15. bis zum 19. Jahrhundert zu erlernen. Um 19.30 beginnt danach das Training für die Fortgeschrittenen mit Schwerpunkt auf Barocktanz. Weiter fortgeschrittene TänzerInnen trainieren 2x die Woche und bilden das Hamburger historische Tanzensemble Alta Danza. The 14th ‘Cracovia Danza’ Court Dance Festival will be held between July 28th and August 4th 2013.

The ‘Cracovia Danza’ Court Dance Festival is a unique event on the cultural map of both Krakow and Poland, initiated by Romana Agnel, the Festival's Artistic Director. 



Court dance, theatre and music performed against the arresting background of the City's historic buildings is surely one of the best attractions Krakow has to offer to tourists, residents, lovers of court culture and audiences of all ages.

Il laboratorio di DANZA DEL CINQUE E SEICENTO ITALIANO si rivolge a quanti hanno già esperienza nella danza antica e a chiunque desideri avvicinarsi per la prima volta allo studio della tecnica, dello stile e del repertorio coreografico desunto dai trattati di Fabritio Caroso, Il Ballarino e Nobiltà di dame, e di Cesare Negri, Le gratie d’amore.

Le Grand Bal Renaissance animé par les Musiciens de Cythère aura lieu le samedi 10 novembre 2012 à la Salle Pétrarque (Montpellier). Pour cette troisième édition, nous avons choisi de vous faire vibrer au son des chansons à danser et contredanses.

Nous vous donnons rendez-vous à 20h00 à la salle Pétrarque, dans le magnifique Hôtel de Varennes, construit au XIIIème siècle (2, place Pétrarque, non loin de la Basilique Notre-Dame-des-Tables dans le centre historique de Montpellier).
