History & practice of social dance, its connections with scene dance is an interesting and important theme for dance researches. We'll discuss relationship between styles & dances of different countries & regions; variety of European dance cultures.

The 'Cracovia Danza' Court Dance Festival is the biggest show of court dance in all Europe.(Bill Tuck 2007)

Held annually, the Festival was first launched in 2000 to mark the granting of the title of "The European Capital of Culture" to Krakow.

It was initiated in the era of rekindled interest in the history of dance, the need to return to the sources of the common European heritage and the willingness to come together and exchange experiences among a wide group of historical dance ensembles active in Poland and abroad.

A workshop with classes in historical dance (Baroque Dance, Baroque Dance Notation, and Renaissance Dance); English Country Dance; a fully staged production (Telemann’s opera, Der geduldige Socrates (1721); a special dance performance, “Sondershausen Sing-Ballett,” (1702) with the Festival Oboe Band; lectures; concerts; and more. Traditional historic costume ball (ranging from Gothic to nineteenth century). The dance live music - two bands .. During the ball and is learning simple dances for beginners, intermediate come into their own during the purely instrumental parts - Galliard, Alta Mendoza, Bassa Pompilia etc.

Great historic town festivities, more of dance groups, with an amazing atmosphere in one of the best preserved historical cities of the Czech Crown Lands. Dance performances are from the late Gothic / early Renaissance to the late Renaissance - Mannerism. Alla Danza will dance the courtly dance in the style of French and Italian Mannerism and town dances on Orchésographie from Thoinot Arbeau.

Baroque and Renaissance Dance:

This course will focus on dances from the Renaissance period with the possibility to perform in historical squares of the city or charming medieval villages of Tuscany.

Marco Bendoni a professional dancer and Commedia Dell'Arte actor, works assiduously with recognized instrumental groups and baroque music such as Arpegiatta or Savall and combines their art with the teaching profession. Marco has worked in different dance companies throughout the world. Courses will be 4 hours per day.

Italienische Renaissancetänze Die italienischen Tänze des 15. Jahrhunderts faszinieren durch ihr Schlichtheit und durch die Kraft, die sie ausstrahlen. Die ältesten uns bekannten Beschreibungen stammen von Domenico da Piacenza, der sein Tanzbuch vor 1455 schrieb und das die Basis unserer Arbeit bilden wird. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Tanzschritte, Figuren und Orientierung im Raum. Der Kurs richtet sich sowohl an Leute, die schon etwas Erfahrung mit diesen Tänzen haben wie auch an Anfänger.
