Country Dances entstanden im 16. Jahrhundert in England und haben sich seither ständig fortentwickelt. Sie sind seit ihrer Entstehung fast ununterbrochen getanzt worden und sind heute Teil des englischen Volkstanzes. Im Country Dance Club wollen wir mit einem Schwerpunkt auf historische Country Dances diese Tradition fortführen. Im Vordergrund steht die Geselligkeit und der Spaß an der Bewegung.

Tematem przewodnim tegorocznej edycji Festiwalu są „Mistrzowie Tańca”. Od początku jego istnienia to Oni byli i są inspiracją, dla prezentowanych przez lata spektakli. Tegoroczne przedstawienia, stworzone na podstawie traktatów największych Mistrzów, są próbą odtworzenia i przybliżenia ich choreografii,a także - oddania charakteru i stylu poszczególnych form tanecznych.
