Zum 300. Geburtstag des Wohlgeborenen Freiherrn von Münchhausen erlauben wir uns, einen Ball zu seinen Ehren zu veranstalten, und Sie, erlauchte Herren und Damen, dazu einzuladen. In seinem langen Leben hat er viele Menschen kennengelernt, die wir nun alle bei einem fröhlichen Fest zusammenbringen wollen.

Der Katharinentag war traditionell der letzte Festtag vor der Adventszeit, in der früher ein striktes Tanzverbot und Fastengebot bestand. Also wurde an diesem Tag noch einmal ausgiebig getafelt und getanzt. In diesem Jahr findet der Kathreinstanz in Kooperation mit den Altstadtfreunden an alt ehrwürdiger Stelle und stilistisch passend in der Renaissance-Halle des Peller-Hofs am Egidien-Platz statt.  Deshalb sind uns im Stil der Renaissance gewandete Gäste an diesem Fest-Abend besonders willkommen.

Danzatrice e musicista pesarese, diplomata in Viola da Gamba presso il Conservatorio Statale di Musica “A. Boito” di Parma con il M° Roberto Gini, svolge attività di insegnamento e di ricerca nel campo della danza storica tenendo laboratori per scuole statali di ogni ordine e grado e corsi annuali per adulti e bambini in collaborazione con comuni, enti, associazioni e scuole di danza.

The traditional Easter School of the Società di Danza this year will be in Tabiano (Pr), in the Parmesan hills.

In a beautiful environment, we will have the opportunity to spend a few days of communuty life, and to study more in depth theoretical and practical aspects of 19 century dance.

Program: social dance of 19th century tradition.

Theatre, ball & country dances and the music of the eighteenth century with expert tutors.

Riccardo Barros: dancer, teacher, researcher, choreographer & director working in Britain, Europe & Brazil. Students of intermediate to advanced level will be encouraged to develop their technique and interpretational skills in La Belle Danse.

An unique, intense course for Baroque musicians (strings, wind and continuo) and Baroque dancers. The advanced course will focus on the intrinsic relation between mouvements (plié and elévé) and retakes in violin bowing technique (according to Lullian principles).
