Società di Danza organizes a 19th Century Grand  Ball in the beautiful Villa Viviani  

Waltzes, quadrills, polka and mazurkas, contredanse and marches, Scottish country dances.

The ball will take place in the charming ancient salon of Villa Gerini di Colonnata.

The historical villa has also a beautiful italian park with small lakes and ancient trees.   

¿Qué bailaba Cervantes cuando asistía a un sarao? ¿Qué bailaban los personajes de sus novelas? ¿Que bailó Don Quijote en casa de la Duquesa?

Los bailes de salón Cervantinos como nunca te los habían contado. En versión original, sin subtítulos. Una noche para disfrutar: La noche cervantina en blanco.

Cervantes, como Lope de Vega, Calderón o Moreto, fueron excelentes bailarines: así lo reflejaron en su obra. Habría que verlos moverse en el antecedente de un Disco-Bar (que entonces se llamaba “sarao”).

John Playford's 'Dancing Master' books spanned 1650 to 1728. In that time, English social dances metamorphosed from earthy Tudor origins to French-influenced elegance -- or did they? Spend a lively day learning well-known and less well-known Playford dances, with the steps that people of the time would have danced. Led by friendly tutors from the Historical Dance Society.  A great work-out for brains and legs!

Mit Pierre-Francois Dollé tanzen wir „La Melanie“ von Claude Balon, Spezialist für Gesellschaftstänze mit abwechslungsreichen Schritten und Bewegungen

Dieser Gesellschaftstanz aus der 1713 gedruckten Sammlung ist eine perfekte Illustration des französischen „Belle Dance“.  Er besteht aus einem ersten Teil im Dreivierteltakt und einer zweiten Arie im 2/4-Takt. Der 2/4-Teil bringt Dynamik und Leichtigkeit.
Es ist ein sehr lustiger und unterhaltsamer Paartanz.

Die Kenntnis des barocken Schrittrepertoires wird vorausgesetzt. Die Unterrichtssprache ist deutsch.

Wir tanzen die beliebten Gesellschaftstänze des 17.-19. Jahrhunderts: Longways, Rounds, Cottillons.
