We offer additional master-classes music and dance for those who want to improve their skills.

We have an honour to invite you for our next costume party! This time the theme are going to be the ballroom dancing from the XIX century. The costumes from the Jane Austen's epoque are very welcome, but there is no matter if you come in clothes from others historical periods ( or modern evening dress). We provide a small treat during the ball.

The ball will be preceded by dancing workshop, from Friday to Sunday. The workshop and tha ball are going to be hold by Lieven Baert.

Michel Saint Léon (1777 - 1853), father of the famous dancer and choreograph Arthur Saint Léon was himself a dancer of the Académie Royale de Musique in Paris. From 1822 to 1842 he worked as the dancing master of the princesses at the royal Court of Württemberg. To this princesses he dedicated four notebooks (1829 to 1836). In this notebooks he described exercises for the dance training, choreographies for the theatre, and social dances.

Dies ist der Auftakt einer kleinen Reihe von Workshops für die Gesellschaft für Hessische Militär- und Zivilgeschichte e. V., mit der Reenactors aus ganz Hessen einmal im Quartal Gelegenheit  gegeben werden soll, Gesellschaftstänze und Tanztechniken des 18ten Jahrhunderts zu erlernen. Da diesmal der verfügbare Raum beschränkt ist, bleibt dieser Workshop zunächst einmal leider nur intern. Da ich es aber für wichtig halte, dass auf early-dance.de ein möglichst breites Abbild der Historischen Tanzszene zu finden ist, habe ich ihn zum Kalender hinzugefügt.

19th century ball with quadrilles, waltzed, polka, mazurka, contredanses.

The association Società di Danza founded in 1991 by Fabio Mòllica and active in about thirty cities in Italy, and in Rome since 2002, organizes a reconstruction of a 19th century ball in the historical Palazzo Brancaccio.

Quadrille, Waltz, Contredanse, Polka, Mazurka.

Wir sind eine tanz- und kostümbegeisterte Gruppe, im Jahr 2000 gegründet von Lilo Grimm-Cresswell. Wir veranstalten wöchentliche Übungsabende und bieten Auftritte in historischen Kostümen an. Dabei befassen wir uns mit verschiedenen Epochen: Renaissance, Barock, Rokoko und 19. Jahrhundert.
Während einer Tanzsaison werden diese Tanzstile in Trimestern abwechselnd geübt.
