The traditional Easter School of the Società di Danza this year will be in Sestola (Mo).
In one of the most famous cities of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
In a beautiful natural environment, we will have the opportunity to spend a few days of community life, and to study more in-depth theoretical and practical aspects of our idea of 19th century social dance.
We study social dances of 19th Century tradition:
Waltz, Quadrilles, polka, mazurka and Scottish Country Dance.

On April 28, 2012 you are cordially invited to dine in the beautiful Neoclassical Rooms of the Hodshon House along the river Spaarne in Haarlem. After dinner you can join a dance evening in the Neo-Gothic Aula. If you cannot dance, do not worry as the steps will be taught on the spot. You can also drink a cup of tea and find entertainment in the various rooms. We request the pleasure of your company, well dressed in the style of 1812.

Um 1820 mit Entdeckung der Ludwigsquelle entstand der Wunsch, der Stadt Homburg den Glanz einer Kursstadt zu verleihen. In der Blütezeit des Kurbetriebes zum Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts hin zog es nicht nur den englischen König Edward II. in die liebliche Stadt im Taunus, sondern auch den deutschen Kaiser Wilhelm II.. Möglicherweise war der Kaiser so fasziniert von Homburg, dass er ab 1888 diese charmante Kurstadt zu seiner Sommerresidenz mit Sitz im Schloss erwählte. Stilvolle Bäderarchitektur entstand daraufhin und weltweit bekannte Heilkunst entwickelte sich.

Dieser Workshop ist für Anfänger geeignet, das abwechslungsreiche Tanzprogramm verspricht aber auch biedermeierliches Tanzvergnügen für Fortgeschrittene: Quadrille, Ecossaise, Tempete, Ländler, Walzer, Contredanse, Francaise, Hops-Anglaise, Contre-Ecossaise, Figouraise sind als Kursinhalte geplant.

Die Besucher früherer Ländlerkurse haben hier Gelegenheit, bereits bekannte Figuren zu wiederholen und neue kennenzulernen.
Dieser Workshop ist aber auch für Anfänger als Einführung in diesen Lieblingstanz des (Wiener) Biedermeier geeignet. Kursleiter Alexander Fischer wählt aus der Fülle schöner Ländlerfiguren sicher das Passende für alle aus!

Wie bei allen unseren Seminaren brauchen Sie keinen Partner mitzubringen.
