The ensemble of the early music and dance was founded in 1985. Jūratė Mikiškaitė- Vičienė is the art director and director of musicians of the ensemble and Virginija Jašinskienė is the director of dancers.

Desde los orígenes de la Humanidad las personas han bailado por motivos religiosos, bélicos, festivos o emocionales. La danza y la música bailable han estado siempre presentes en todas las sociedades, aunque en algunas lo ha hecho de forma más intensa, como en el caso de los estamentos superiores de las sociedades europeas de los siglos XVI al XIX, que exaltaron la danza hasta convertirla en una obsesión, un ingrediente imprescindible de la educación cortesana: proliferaron los maestros de danza, las escuelas y los libros que nobles y burgueses consumían con gran avidez.

Tänze der Großen Ballsaison des 19. Jahrhunderts aus Frankreich
Für den kaiserlichen Prinz von Frankreich, Prince Imperial Napoleon Eugene, einziger Sohn von Kaiserin Eugénie de Montijo und Kaiser Napoléon III choreographierte und komponierte die Société Académique des Professeurs de danse von Paris eine schöne neuartige Quadrille, die Quadrille Prince Impérial.

We recreates the dances of the 18th and early 19th century. We have weekly class/practice sessions in Seagrave Leicestershire on Sundays 7-9pm £1 per session. Accompanied children welcomed We as very happy that our group encompasses a range of ages and abilities, we believe everyone should be able to enjoy dance at a level that suits the individual. We hold several balls a year and are very keen on costuming and period cookery we therefore try to make ourballs a fun experiance from many angles. Whilst we are serious about our research we like to have fun too.
