The Società di Danza - Circolo Livornese for the celebrations of 150 years of United Italy and for the celebration of the Moti Livornesi Risorgimentali,
in collaboration with C'omitato Livornese per la promozione dei valori risorgimentali'
municipality of Livorno and Provincia of Livorno , and the Naval Academy
organized the Gran Ballo Risorgimentale.
A 19th century ball with quadrilles, controdances, waltzes, mazurka, marsch and galop on the music by Giuseppe Verdi and Strauss.

The Grand Ball of the Risorgimento
Società di Danza

The Grand Ball of the Risorgimento ideally represents a ball organized by the patriots to celebrate the successful Unification of Italy.
As in the rest of the country, Bologna citizens celebrated the victories of the Risorgimento movement and the ideals of freedom, justice and progress
with a series of Grand Balls inside theaters and private palaces.

The cultural association "Società di Danza", founded in Bologna in 1991 by Fabio Mòllica, is a Federation of Circoli and groups,

The traditional Summer School of Società di Danza will be held this year in Bagni di Lucca (Lucca).

Nachdem die Revolution verstummte und Napoleon Frankreich und Europa "einte", erfüllten rauschende Feste Säle und Salons, und bei beschwingten Tänzen und vergnüglichen Spielen vertrieb man sich die Zeit. Zu kurz war die Zeit zwischen den Kriegen und Kämpfen, umso fröhlicher der "Tanz auf dem Vulkan". Lieven Baert, Gent, wird uns vom 1. - 4. Juni in die aufregenden Tänze und Formationen der Epoche einführen und mit einem bezaubernden, kleinen Fest, zu dem jeder herzlich willkommen ist, werden wir dieses Gefühl wieder aufleben lassen.
