Historic Ball

In the year 1811 Napoleon Bonaparte makes a trip to The Netherlands. In honour of his visit the Society Revérence organizes a grand ball in Chateau Marquette. All is in readiness: the chandeliers are lit, the orchestra is ready to play, the quests have arrived…..but where is the emperor?

An evening full of dance, music and entertainment at a magnificent location!

"Dance and culture of nobility" school invites you to Musical evening "White nights" in style of The Belle Epoque, 11 of June, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Russia, St.Petersburg. I strongly recommend you to be in suits of 1890s-1913 at this event. Programme of this evening: polite conversation, listening to music of 19th cent., salon's plays, dances, tea drinking, walk along streets and outing by water bus. Cost of ticket is 60$. Kostümfest am Brunnen im Schlosspark

Aus Anlass des 200. Geburtstages der Sozialreformerin und frühen Feministin Gräfin Viktorine von Butler-Haimhausen steht das Haimhauser Schlossfest unter dem Motto „Biedermeier“. Hierzu verwandelt sich der Schlosspark in eine geschichtliche Bühne, auf der sich alles um die Zeit dreht, in der die Gräfin ihre bedeutenden Armenfürsorge-Institute errichtete.

Desde los orígenes de la Humanidad las personas han bailado por motivos religiosos, bélicos, festivos o emocionales. La danza y la música bailable han estado siempre presentes en todas las sociedades, aunque en algunas lo ha hecho de forma más intensa, como en el caso de los estamentos superiores de las sociedades europeas de los siglos XVI al XIX, que exaltaron la danza hasta convertirla en una obsesión, un ingrediente imprescindible de la educación cortesana: proliferaron los maestros de danza, las escuelas y los libros que nobles y burgueses consumían con gran avidez.
